Rawalpindi and Islamabad, the twin cities of Punjab are facing the nightmare again as they do every year in the winters.
The weather situation is getting colder and at the same time, the pressure of Natural Gas is decreasing from minimum to zero in certain areas of twin cities.
It is becoming significantly difficult for the mothers to prepare the meals for the members of house on regular working days and especially on the days off. Pupils have to run off to schools, men to their job without having their breakfast because we are not able to prepare it on such low pressure, the women sobbed.
Some areas of Islamabad including G-6, G-7, G-9 and I-9 in particular have been worst affected by load shedding. The natives say it is heart rending even to prepare a cup of tea on such low pressure which takes more than 20 minutes or even greater.
In Rawalpindi, the natives of Committee chowk, Dhoke Khabba, Warris Khan, Nadeem Colony, Umer Road, Arya Mohalla and Dhoke Illahi Buksh have complained the same.
Protests have been organized in several different areas by the locals demanding restoration of proper pressure. In the meanwhile, Muhammad Zahoor, GM Sui Southern Gas said the issue will be solved shortly as steps have been initiated to deal the problem.
